Battle of Bunker Hill
This was a major Battle. its an improtant battle nationally. The Americans occupied Bunker Hill overlooking Boston.inl the evenging of June 16th. The British, commanded by General Gage, had no choice but to attack the Americans. On the afternoon of the 17th, Gages forces attacked. IN a hard fought battle, The American were forced to withdraw. While the British were vitorious, they suffered heavy losses.
Kings Mountain.
This was a Nc battle. In NC, Major Ferguson was patroling with a force of over 1000 Tory supports attempting to pacify the country side. 1200 militia men, most form NC gathered to stop Ferguson and his troops. Ferguson realized that they were overtaking him, he organized his defensess atop kings Mountain. That how it got its name.
