North carolina was effected in many ways by the great depression gardner tried to help out north carolinans as many ways as he could although it didnt help that much they took what they could get and what they got was not that much

In the 1920's cars had just become a commodity, with the Model T by Ford Motor Company, cars became more and more mainstream. Ford had the first assembly line of automobiles geared towards mass manufacturing. Cars were used by moonshine runners to distribute there achole bevergaes

World war one happen because of the aliances of france england russia and the other aliance was germany austria turkey. So all that it took was a spark and all of europe was at war. This spark came from the black hand a tarouist group from croatia they assanatied franz fernidand and all of europe froke in to war. North carolina was a big influance on the war because they gave 86000 troups

The eraly cotton millls of north carolina were always full of young people. The mills built before the Civil War hired mostly young women, since young men could easily make more money working on a farm. At cedar Falls in Randolph County, as many of two-thirds of the work force were young women in their teens or twenties. occasional a young boy was hired at the factory. If he wroked hard, the owners night train him to be a boss.

Well it all started when him needed a place to go when his famliy died in a house fire. He wrote me to come live with me and your mother i said yeah when he got hear he started looking for work but times were hard and he coulnt find it so he joined the army and went off they told me what they think he died in but there not sure. I missed him so much that i joined the army to honor him i had been in a couple of battles so i thought i had it down but no one could be ready for what i was about to go through at bull run. It was day two of the battle we had lost a lot of men and i had been hit and had surgrey they said i am going home when i got home to my surprise was jim was standing there there had been a mix up that it was another person that died not jim
